Magnetic levitation

The printer is equipped with a powerful linear motor with a maximum traction force equal to 21,500 joules, and is able to overclock to the carriage speed to 500m/min in just 0.1 seconds, using the force of electromagnetism. The lack of friction and stepper components eliminates the negative vibrations and «noise» affecting the print quality
Technology «magnetic levitation» – is a speed jump in the print quality by using tested and proven components.

Advanced grey-scale

Improved monitoring of wave (waveform) allows IQ Maglev to print eight dots of different sizes in a single cycle. This significantly increases the smoothness of the transition colors in the final image.

Two-colors in on print head

Ricoh Gen5 heads have two independent channels for supplying ink to 640 nozzles each. As a result, you can print CMYK using only two head in resolving 300npi. Advanced control electronics allows to customize up to 7 print heads for maximum print speed in two-channel mode

The minimum drop size is - 3.5 pl (+ - 10%)

Variable dot® technology combined with the technology of Invisible dots® by DPS Innovations, enables twice to reduce the minimum size of the drops provided by Ricoh.

Recycling of white 7 printheads

IQ Maglev carriage can contain up to 7 Ricoh GEN5 print heads, two of which can be used for the white color with a recirculation system for preventing sedimentation of pigments and print heads ink damage.

Control electronics by DPS Innovations

All control systems and side components were developed and produced by DPS innovations specifically for IQ Maglev.



Solid metal frame

Printer frame - All-metal welded frame that can withstand any heavy material. The body is also equipped with wheels and legs for easy movement and a stable fixation on the work.

6 vacuum zones

Honeycomb desktop is divided into 6 vacuum zones with the possibility of independent work of each of them - to reduce power consumption of the printer. Over the panel there is a composite coating with perforations to ensure steady vacuum. The coating is attached by magnets and is easy to replace.

I-beam and guide-frames

The motion-system of the carriage along the portal consists of a specialized guide, mounted on an aluminum I-beam. On the basis of a step - motor with spindle drive provides automatic adjustment of the height of the carriage.

10 vessels for supplying ink and residue level sensors

The ink delivery system consists of 10 tanks. Each container includes a mechanical sensor measuring the level of a residue, pre-filter, cleaning system of electronic valves, diaphragm-type pump for pumping ink system, fine filter and supplying the ink path. Vacuum systems for the CMYK and White are independent.
